January 9NEWS 9WhoCare- Leroy Holm

Welcome

Welcome to Monfort Elementary (K-6)!  We are so glad you chose to stop at our website to take a peak.  We have so many exciting things going on to share with you.  We hope you are able to take some time to stop in for a visit.  We are currently accepting kindergarten enrollment for the 2013-2014 school year.

Dream Big!
College for Kids
We have our College for Kids (otherwise known as before and after school clubs) going strong this year.  The schedule is on the website and in the front hall.  We are offering a variety of activities from intramural, chess, MESA (science club), MESA-mini, Green Team, and many others.  MESA is a state-wide club that stands for Math, Engineering, and Science Achievement.  This program will cover science experiments and activities designed for students to explore a great field of study.

Dress for Success Days
On these days, we are encouraging students to dress professionally such as a dress, nice outfit, tie, or dress like their future career. Since we are focused on being college ready at Monfort, we will have this special day once a month to emphasize career awareness. We hope the students have fun on this day and enjoy looking toward their future.

Pay It Forward Projects
Alongside academics, we believe it is important for students to learn how to give back to their community through service learning projects.  Each month we will have a focus and a project associated with that focus.  Our latest projects were a "Socks and Crocs" drive to help support the Guadalupe Center here in Greeley and the Pennies for Patients to help raise money to stomp out childhood leukemia.
