City of Greeley Forestry Department Presents The Giving Tree

The City of Greeley Government Forestry Department presented "The Giving Tree" to our D6 Kindergarteners this week! Kindergarteners were ready and excited for this presentation because they have been studying trees in class.
The City of Greeley Government Forestry Department presented "The Giving Tree" to our D6 Kindergarteners this week! Kindergarteners were ready and excited for this presentation because they have been studying trees in class.
We were able to learn about trees with Meeker Elementary School and The Fred Tjardes School of Innovation kindergarteners.
The Forestry Department taught students how to take care of trees and deputized the students as official tree caretakers. At the end of the school day, students were given their very own Black Hills Spruce from the city to plant at home.
One student exclaimed, "My mom LOVES trees!"
Some of you may remember receiving your very own tree from this city conservation program when you were in elementary school! We hope your tree is thriving.
